The Harvest Is the Reward!

Dear Friends:

         “The Harvest is the reward!” is what my father taught me. Dr. George M. Flattery founded International Correspondence Institute in 1967 and is now know as Global University. Leading people to Jesus in evangelism and walking with them in discipleship was always the desired outcome. He started an online ministry in 1997 that is now called Network211 with the same intent.

         While the stated statistical goal of Network211 is to proclaim the Gospel to 100 million people, the desired outcome is that they will come to Jesus, be discipled, and propagate the Gospel. The goal is harvest.

         Our reward is not statistical achievement, applying the latest technology, or even winning the applause of leadership and others. The reward is the harvest! And, what do we seek? More harvest!

         I will share a testimony from Pastor Rodrigo Ascarrunz in Cochabamba, Ecuador, “I have been a connector with Network211 for over three years now. I want you to know that the seed sown through your ministry is bearing much fruit. As just one example, Wilfredo from Trinidad, was living a very unfulfilled life. Knowing that something was missing inside he began to search for answers online. He found your site, JuntosEnElCamino.com and a presentation of the Gospel. Something stirred in his heart at that very moment (we know it was the Holy Spirit) and he prayed to receive Jesus. After sharing with his wife what God had done, together they reached out to us for more. We interacted online for several months as I discipled them in the way of the cross. Later, I had opportunity to travel from Cochabamba to Trinidad to meet with Wilfredo and Yenny. I was privileged to get to baptize them in water as a public declaration of their new-found life in Christ. Today, he is a leader in a company where he shares with many co-workers what Jesus has done in his life. His faith has impacted many people. Winning others to Christ, he has now become a discipler, in the same way he was discipled. Keep up the good work with this ministry.”
