The Unreached Reaching the Reached!
Dear Friends:
A key missiological principle is that the Reached, those who are Christ-followers, must reach the Unreached. This is the Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20. This time-tested principle states clearly the marching orders for the Church and remains in place today. At the same time, due to ministries like Network211, we can see how the Unreached are online searching for answers and are reaching the Reached!
Network211 connects with individuals as they search online for answers to the dilemmas of life that trouble them such as anxiety, depression, and insignificance. It was with your partnership that we are online to meet them at their point of need, share Christ, and join them in their life journey. Many of them, in fact, most of them, are learning about Christ for the very first time. They are the Unreached who connect with us, the Reached!
I created a report from the last few weeks to see what issues are on the hearts of people who write to us. We call these “Discipleship Connections.” Here are comments from those who requested prayer. Our response teams are comprised of Spirit-filled believers who pray specifically for each request, and who respond with Scripture and words of encouragement.
- “Please pray for salvation for my three sisters. Pray for my ex-wife who has cancer, diabetes, depression, and suicidal thoughts. And please pray that the Lord heals me from cancer as well” (Finland).
- “I am a 20-year-old girl raising my little brother because my mom passed away. I feel like my life is stuck in one place because I am not working or studying and we struggle financially” (South Africa).
- “My father passed last month and it hurt so bad. Anxiety stepped in and I couldn’t breathe — heavy palpitations and no sleep. I am asking God for inner peace and to feel whole again” (Nigeria).
We praise the Lord that as we do our part of sharing Truth, then the Holy Spirit takes over and transforms lives. Here are some testimonies:
- “I made my decision today because I always feel warm and calm when I talk to Jesus. He guides me to the answer. When I rest while talking to him, my mind calms and I can think clearly. Blessing” (New Zealand).
- “My life was in great mess. I sometimes felt like giving up. But when I come to Jesus, I see that everything is okay for me” (Papua New Guinea).
- Thanks God for accepting my submission of my life to you. May you uphold my hand through the journey in this world. Amen” (Uganda).
We are encouraged when individuals share how much they appreciate the ministry of Network211. Here are some examples:
- “I have tried following several ministries, but to be honest, I found this ministry special and helpful… You are building Lives” (Senegal).
- “Thanks for providing this kind of opportunity to peoples. I got benefited and the way you mentioned about following God and being obedient held me on the website” (Ethiopia).
- “I have found this information to be useful in shaping my life. Thank you so very much” (Zambia).
A constructive use of the Internet is that it provides an avenue for the Unreached to reach the Reached. What an amazing opportunity! It is with your faithful prayer and financial support that we can share the love of Christ with them. All is for God’s glory!
Blessings,
Mark
