How Can I?
Dear Friends:
We praise the Lord that He orchestrates seminal moments in our lives. An example of this is found in Acts 8:26-40 where an encounter is recorded between Philip the Evangelist and an Ethiopian eunuch. Philip was directed by an angel of the Lord to go to a specific location. On his way, he encountered the Ethiopian who was an important official in charge of the treasury. This man was reading the book of Isaiah while sitting in his chariot. The passage does not tell us how he obtained this book or why sparked his interest in reading it. As Philip is passing by the chariot, the Spirit prompted him to stay near it.
Philip overheard the Ethiopian reading and engaged him in conversation. Philip asked him if he understood what he was reading. The Ethiopian responded, “How can I unless someone explains it to me?” Wow! This was the divinely orchestrated convergence of two lives that would lead to the Ethiopian’s salvation. As you know the story, they chatted, Philip baptized him in water, and the Lord suddenly took Philip away for another assignment. The Ethiopian did not see Philip again “but went on his way rejoicing.”
People around the world go online to search for answers to life’s dilemmas. They are trying to figure out life, negotiate its various seasons, and some are even attempting to navigate the plot twists along their personal spiritual journey. If you could engage them in conversation, as Philip did with the Ethiopian man, and ask them, “Do you know what you are doing?” there is a great possibility that their response would boil down to this: “How can I unless someone explains it to me?” This is the very reason that they are online! They are seeking answers, remedies, and solutions.

What a tremendous honor and opportunity has been afforded to us to share with them! These are divinely orchestrated online appointments with real people who have heartfelt and genuine needs for understanding! But please understand this from a negative view: If we, as the Church, are not online to explain spiritual matters to them, who will? Well, there are mind-boggling numbers of people and entities online that will spout their views and take advantage of them. This is why it is so vitally important that the Church has a vibrant and viable presence online.
It is because of your faithful prayer and financial support that we can join them in their spiritual journey and explain to them the love of Christ and His impact on their lives. Thank you for ALL that you are doing! Please continue to pray. Please continue to give. We are seeing a harvest of souls. Our reward is to present the harvest to our Lord! All is for the glory of God!
