Network211 hosted “Celebrate 2 Million” on August 14, 2020 and rejoiced for the two millionth Evangelism Response to a Network211 online interactive community site. The guest speakers were Dr. George M. Flattery (Network211 Founder), Rick Allen (National Director, LFTL), Rick DuBose (Assistant General Superintendent AG), Dr. JoAnn Butrin (Director of AGWM International Ministries), and Chief Master Sergeant (ret.) Tim Carentz (Kaiserslautern Military Resiliency Center, Germany).
It was on August 10, 2020 that the two millionth Evangelism Response was recorded. This was four years and four months since the first million Evangelism Response was made. People who responded came from 242 countries and territories, as tracked by Google analytics.
I started “Celebrate 2 Million” by sharing how grateful Network211 is for the Lord’s favor, first and foremost. A second contributing factor to reaching 2 million was the generous and insightful giving of ministry partners such as churches, individuals, foundations, friends, Light For The Lost and BGMC. A third major reason for reaching this milestone was the diligent efforts of the Network211 team to create effective online interactive communities in multiple languages, enhance the visitors’ online experience, and update the response and reporting systems. Finally, in 2020 there was a significant increase in Internet Users as a reaction to the global pandemic. More people than ever went online look for help, hope, and an escape from their reality. Network211 was there to share with them the love of Jesus Christ.
Testimonies were read as examples of lives that were transformed by Christ through the ministry of Network211:
- A woman from Nigeria wrote, “I really enjoyed this, May God bless you for putting up this for people like us I was just thinking that I don’t deserve to be loved or to be in any relationship. Thanks so much for this”.
- A man from Liberia wrote, “I have decided to give my life to Jesus and worship him forever.”
- A woman from Ecuador wrote, “I want God to come into my life and set me free.”
- A young man from the Philippines wrote, “Thank you for your advice and help. I am beginning to understand that God created me and has a plan for my life.”
- A woman from Canada wrote, “I have been so lonely and suffering with depression. Thank you for helping me find a church!”
During the Zoom celebration meeting, each special guest rejoiced with Network211 for what the Lord has done.
Dr. Butrin complimented the Network211 team on working diligently during hard times and providing people around the world with the Answer and hope of Jesus Christ.
Tim Carentz shared about the active and effective ministry of the Kaiserslautern Military Resiliency Center. He stated that the partnership with Network211’s The Warrior’s Journey and JourneyOnline.org has equipped the Resiliency Center to impact powerfully the military and local communities.
Rick Allen rejoiced at the milestone and shared that LFTL has invested over $3.6 million into Network211 through the years.
Rick DuBose, a key supporter of Network211 since it started, shared how God, “does not keep the knowledge of the future to Himself” and then how He “talks with us today about what He is doing next.” He was encouraged by how the Network211 continues to expand and grow the ministry.
Dr. George M. Flattery shared how he serves as a “1-2-1 Connector” and ministers to individuals around the world from his desk at home. He concluded the guest comments by stating how grateful he was that the original vision of reaching 10 million people with the Gospel was expanded to 100 Million and that Network211 has reached over 41 million people worldwide.
When Network211 launched Project 10Million (now, Project 100Million) in October 2008, we did not know that we could ever dream of seeing 2 million Evangelism Responses. What was beyond our grasp to comprehend is our present reality. Please continue to journey with us in prayer and financial support. Along the way, let’s dream together and ask the Lord for an amazing future!
