Compelled by a Thankful Heart!

Dear Friends:

Thanksgiving Day is a wonderful US American holiday! It is a time to pause from the busyness of life, focus on family, and give thanks! That is, unless you are traveling and then the holiday can be a nightmare, but let’s say your kids are traveling to your home to visit you. Family, food, fellowship, fun, and football combine to make memories that last a lifetime.

Like you, I have so many reasons to be thankful! I thank God for His love for me, my adorable wife, our six amazing children, the opportunity to tell others about the love of Christ, and the responses of those who accepted Jesus via a Network211 online community.

There were seasons in my life when I learned to “be content whatever the circumstances” and clung to the promise, “I can do all this through Him who gives me strength” (Philippians 4:10-13). I remember vividly the times of living “in want” and really do not want to forget them because it reminds me of where I have been and makes me so appreciative of what the Lord has done!

This Thanksgiving, I will join you in giving thanks to God for His amazing and bountiful blessings! This compels me to do even more to share this transformational Good News to everyone, everywhere. I am thinking of people like those who wrote to us just a few days ago:

  • A woman from South Africa, “I am struggling with life I feel I have no purpose and I feel as if someone has put a curse on me”
  • A woman from Australia, “I feel like I’m not really reaching God when I pray. I get distracted. How do I really pray with meaning and feel fulfilled that I was heard? At the moment I’m just saying the words.”
  • A woman in the Philippines, “I’m suffering depression, my brain goes back to my bad past memories.”
  • A man in India, “I am Hindu … everyone leaves me to alone, I am very disappointed from life, can Jesus lead me”

It is with your help and partnership, that we can share God’s love with these dear people and give them genuine hope. If we can tell them about Jesus, then they will have an opportunity to respond to the wooing of the Holy Spirit. Their lives can be freed from the bondage of sin and transformed by love for eternity!

Thank you for praying for the ministry of Network211! Thank you for caring for the lost! Thank you for investing in this ministry so that we can tell others the Good News and make disciples!

As we celebrate Thanksgiving, hopefully surrounded by family, let’s do so with a grateful heart. Also, let this compel us to do even more to reach the Lost with the love of our Savior!

Blessings,

Mark
