Giving Hope this Thanksgiving!

One of my favorite times of the year is Thanksgiving. I love the Fall weather, getting together with family, the Thanksgiving Day meal, and of course, American football!  As I mature, at least in age, I am so thankful to the Lord for all that He has done for my family and me. Truly, God is good; ALL the time!

While I count my blessings with a heart full of thanksgiving to the Lord, I am reminded that there are countless others who are in desperate need of an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. I honestly do not know how they can navigate the turmoil of life without Him. But, it is with your partnership that together we can connect individuals with the Lord and take them from where they are to where they need to be in Christ.

This morning we received an email from a man in the USA that started with, “I really don’t get on the Internet about stuff like this, but I’m so overwhelmed by my depression that I couldn’t find anywhere else to turn.  I’m seriously considering suicide…” He is suicidal, overwhelmed, and turned to the Internet because he did not know where to find his answer.

It is by the leading of the Lord, the power of the Holy Spirit, and partners like you that Network211 can do more than have our hearts break on his behalf. Yes, we pray and ask that the Lord intervene. Also, with your help, we do the following:

  • Give him a personal response from a 1-2-1 Connector that addresses his need, provides a scripture, and a prayer.  With this individual, we were able to respond within a few minutes, encourage him to engage in a dialogue, and offer him resources to address his need.
  • Direct him to a local church where he can discover a community of faith that will journey with him.

What an open door into this man’s heart! Together, we used the Internet as a tool of the Gospel and presented the love of Jesus Christ directly in front of his face; be it on a handheld device, tablet or personal computer. He lives in a nation where he could readily discover Truth in a church, on TV, or the radio. But, it seems that his last resort was the Internet. Network211 was there to share Jesus with him, and without rebuke or reprisal. We shared the Truth and the Holy Spirit penetrated his heart and compelled him to write to us.

Can you imagine with me how this man’s life will change in an amazing way when he gives his heart to Jesus? He will do a complete 180 and experience a vibrancy of genuine love, joy, and hope to a degree that he has never before encountered.

Thank you for joining us in this amazing journey to present the love of Jesus Christ to 100 million individuals, like this man, one-by-one and on a global scale. We know that heaven is rejoicing when each one comes home!

Thank you for your prayer and financial support! I remind you that for every $1 given to Network211 for evangelism, we are enabled to present the Gospel to 15 individuals who desperately need the Savior.

For $7,000, we can touch the lives 105,000 individuals, like this suicidal man from the USA, with the Good News. That is the equivalent of filling a football stadium with people who are reaching online seeking desperately for hope and even for a reason to live.

As we spend time with our families and watch our football games on Thanksgiving Day, let’s give the Lord thanks for what He has done, and is doing, in us. Let’s give thanks knowing that we can do our part in prayer and funding to fill the “stadiums” of the world by presenting the greatest message of hope in the history of the world.

Blessings,
