The Challenge!

Dear Friends:

There are seasons in our lives we encounter challenges that seem insurmountable. We do all that we can and realize that our creativity, resourcefulness, and energies are depleted. Thankfully, God overcomes life’s challenges, with Him, “all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26).

Flynn and Renee Clanton are the Network211 Spanish outreach directors. Last week they shared with me a testimony of a man whose life challenges were overwhelming him. Then he met Jesus. Here is his story.

“Matthew from Buenos Aires, Argentina found that his life had spiraled out of control.  Not knowing where to turn Matthew did a google search on January 19th and found our webpage on ‘How to Know God.’ He knew that was his answer and he wrote to us for help saying, ‘I have hit rock bottom in my life.  Because of my addiction to alcohol, I have lost my family.  I feel so hopeless.  What can I do?’

“His plea for help was heard by God and read by one of our online Connectors who began an ongoing conversation with Matthew, sharing with him the Love of Christ, encouraging him with the promises of Scripture that Jesus has come to ‘set the captive free.’  This Connector challenged Matthew to give his life, broken and destroyed as it was, to Christ.

“In the five weeks since Matthew found our site and began a discipleship connection with us, he has committed his life to Jesus and seen a miracle take place in his life.  God delivered him from alcoholism.  He has been restored to his wife and children.  He found a church in his hometown where he and his whole family now attend regularly.  God still does miracles like this for ‘all who call upon the name of the Lord, will be saved.’

Praise the Lord!

Now, I want to present to you a challenge of a different kind. Our online interactive community in Spanish is www.JuntosEnElCamino.com. We offer JourneyAnswers with videos for thirteen life-issues. We want to update the videos by recording them in Columbia and including vignettes to match what we do for our English language version (www.JourneyOnline.org). This will enhance the viewer experience, share the Gospel more effectively, and bring more responses.

My challenge to you is: Will you help us update videos for JourneyAnswers in Spanish?

I estimate that we will need $10,000 to complete this project. Any amount that you give for this project will be a blessing! You can give online at www.Network211.com/give or though AGWM or AG departments such as LFTL or BGMC. Please email me at [email protected] and I will ensure your gift meets this pressing challenge.

Challenges? “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26). Your partnership to meet this challenge will speak truth and hope into the lives of people like Matthew in Buenos Aires. It will make a difference!

Blessings,

Mark
