Last week, I had the pleasure of traveling to Japan! I met with the Assemblies of God World Missions missionary team and shared how Network211 can be used to reach people in this great nation. I found that the Japanese people with whom I interacted were friendly and welcoming.
The church that is now known as the Assemblies of God in Japan actually started before the AG USA began in 1914. It now has over 221 churches. While we praise the Lord for the years of faithful service, the nation continues to be a challenge for those propagating the Gospel. Apparently, it takes a significant time to develop relationships with people before they are willing to consider hearing the Good News.
Japan has embraced technology and the Internet. While this has tied them into the global community it further distanced individuals from each other as people have most of their relationships online. So, sharing the Gospel is a challenge. Yet, this is a great opportunity, as well!
Network211 has received over 68,000 visits from people in Japan to our English evangelism sites. You can see this at https://network211.com/projects/japan/. We are believing that with our upcoming partnership with the AGWM Japan missionaries, combined with offering evangelism and discipleship in Japanese, will produce much greater responses. The interesting aspect of our online ministry is that individuals will view our presentation and write to us. When they write, they share immediately the matters of their hearts. So, the potential of what can be done in Japanese is great! Our prayer is that the people in Japan will not only write to us, but our response teams in Japan will connect with them and begin a relationship that will direct them into local churches.
Will you pray with us that this upcoming outreach will be fruitful? Will you consider what the Lord will have you donate financially towards this endeavor? Finally, will you ask the Lord of the Harvest if He will want you to serve as a missionary in Japan, the “Land of the Rising Sun”?
Thank you for your faithful prayer and financial support! We are reaching people in lands such as Japan and seeing lives transformed.
