Fighting the Good Fight
Dear Friends:
This morning as I write this EBlast, the world learned of Billy Graham’s transition from this earth into the presence of the Lord. The words of Paul in 2 Timothy 4:7 certainly describe Graham, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” It was estimated that he preached the Good News to 215 million people in 185 nations and over 3 million people committed their lives to Christ. It is amazing how the Lord used His servant for His glory!
While we still need evangelists who stand for Truth and proclaim the Gospel in evangelism crusades, we have even more opportunities available to share the love of Christ. It is with your partnership that we can answer individuals who are searching online for solutions to the dilemmas of life that trouble them. The Internet connects us with more people and in more locations than we could have ever dreamed back in the day. In fact, it is reported now that there are over 4 billion Internet users. That is over one-half of the world’s population!
Together, we are sharing Christ to one individual at a time, to almost every country and territory on the planet, and doing so constantly; 24/7. We fight “the good fight” in remote locations, in major cities of the world, in societies that are allegedly open to hear various views on any subject, and in locations that are closed to the Gospel. We fight “the good fight” among people of all nationalities, economic status, religions, and worldviews. Some people will respond to us with blessing while others take time from their day to write us and curse us. Regardless, we fight “the good fight” because the name of the Lord must be proclaimed, there is no other name given among men by which we must be saved, and the love of Christ compels us to share our faith!
We praise the Lord that people are responding to the Good News! Here are some examples:
· Turkey. “I am interested about Jesus and I want to know more information about this Thank you” (woman).
· China. “I want to understand the concept of Jesus Christ” (woman).
· Burkina Faso. “i am imam of a mosque in Burkina Faso but i am ready to testify to glorify the name of jesus Christ thanks” (man).
Let us be encouraged to keep the faith, as Paul wrote. Together, we have made 31.9 million Gospel presentations, 1.5 million individuals made an evangelism response, and over 271,000 wrote to us. Your prayer and financial support is making a difference for eternity!
I look forward to the day when we rejoice at the completion of Project 100Million! What a day that will be! And what a great way to kick off Project 1Billion!
Blessings,
Mark
