The Individual

February 2022

Subject Line: The Individual

Dear Friends:

When we read the Gospels, we note that Jesus spoke to crowds. People journeyed just to hear Him speak and to see His miracles. Yet, Jesus made time to meet with individuals, as well. He would interact with them on a heart level and give them new life.

Like the Good Shepherd, we must focus on the individual and, when necessary, leave the ninety-nine to rescue the one. The Internet affords us a unique opportunity to engage individuals in online interactive communities. As we meet them at their point of need and share the Truth of the love of Christ, we find the outcomes are transformational.

The meaning of “Network211” continues to be that “we use 21st-century technology to communicate the 1st century Gospel.” Our logo shows the second “1” in red to communicate this visually. Also, it serves as a reminder that while we minister on a global scale, we do so one by one to individuals around the world.

I will illustrate this from a newsletter produced by Flynn and Renee Clanton. They are the Network211 directors for Spanish outreach and are based in Columbia. They wrote:

“In May, Ricardo did an online search for ‘Who is Jesus?” He found our website www.DescubreaJesus.com. After watching the short video presentation explaining the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, Ricardo prayed the prayer with the presenter and gave his life to Jesus Christ!

“He wrote to us wanting to know more. A member of our follow-up team in Ricardo’s city of Cochabamba, Bolivia ministered to him and invited him to church. Ricardo and his wife have become part of that local Assembly of God church. In August, both Ricardo and his wife were baptized, making a public declaration of their new faith in Jesus! We celebrate another person going ‘from searches to churches!”

“This is just one example of what God is doing to seek and save lost people every day through our online evangelism websites and follow-up ministry teams. Currently, on an average day 1,633 people receive a Spanish Gospel presentation, 138 people make an evangelism response, and 28 individuals write to us asking for and receiving personal follow-up. We rejoice over every life impacted by the Gospel!”

We rejoice that Network211 ended 2021 with over 46.7 million visits, by individuals, to our evangelism online communities. Over 2.2 million of them made an Evangelism Response and 393,584 wrote to us, like Ricardo, and made a Discipleship Connection.

We praise the Lord that since we launched Project 10Milllion (now Project 100Million) on October 15, 2008, we received a visit to our evangelism sites every 8.7 seconds. People made an Evangelism Response every 3.1 minutes. Individuals wrote to us to begin a Discipleship Connection every 17.7 minutes. Every day. Since October 2008. Praise the Lord!

While we give God the glory for these statistics, they are meaningful because they represent lives that were transformed by the Gospel. Individuals. People like you and like me. Does ministry to the individual matter? It did to Ricardo!

The second example of Network211 impacting individuals comes from our ministry to the military community called, “The Warrior’s Journey” (TWJ). You can visit this online interactive community at www.TWJ.org. Since it was launched on October 15, 2016, the extent of this outreach has far exceeded what we could ask or imagine! We praise the Lord that over 750,000 people in the military community visited our site. Over 40,000 made an evangelism response and over 11,000 wrote to us to make a discipleship connection. Also, with the assistance from American Bible Society, we distributed for free over 216,000 Warrior’s Bibles.

The one overwhelming statistic that makes you say, “God is SO good!” is that we interacted with 1,049 active and retired personnel who had suicidal ideations. We praise the Lord that to our knowledge none of them ended their lives. In fact, many of them changed direction and took the step to accept Christ as their Savior. Kevin Weaver, who leads TWJ and serves as Network211 CEO, reports that in January 2022 we had seventy-three suicidal interventions. As you would imagine, each intervention occurred with an individual on a one-to-one contact. Jesus cares about the one.

It is our privilege to share the love of Christ with individuals around the world via the Internet. Thank you for joining us on this journey! Your prayers and financial support are making an eternal difference to individuals.
